The price listed is for one drum beater. These are native hand made traditional style leather fringe drumsticks. The construction of a drum beater, specifically its hardness, directly influences the range of frequencies it can elicit from a drum. This is a harder beater which creates a more abrupt impact, exciting a wider spectrum of vibrational modes within the drumhead, thus producing both fundamental (lower) and overtone (higher) frequencies. Conversely, a softer beater absorbs more of the initial impact, dampening higher frequency vibrations and primarily emphasizing the fundamental tones. Drumsticks are around 12"-15" inches in length and vary in wood thickness, and since they're created from mother earth may contain a slight curve.
